Biography
Laura Antohi is a cardiologist working in the ICCU of the largest institute for cardiovascular diseases in Romania for more than 10 years and is the present coordinator of its heart failure centre; she has also been involved in the development of the structural valve disease institutional program providing periprocedural imaging during interventional and surgical interventions. She has conducted research on the non-invasive evaluation of hemodynamics of HF patients and as investigator in phase IIa and III HF trials. She is the national coordinator for GRASP-HF registry, having been educated in this field as an alumni of the ‘Brescia International Master on drug development in heart failure’, with professor Mihai Gheorghiade among the course directors. She has served as the secretary of the Working Group for Heart Failure of the Romanian Society of Cardiology. As a member of the HFA, she has been part of its Scientific Committees for acute HF, valvular diseases and obesity.
