Dr. Lindenfeld is the Director of the Section of Heart failure and Transplantation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. US. She was a previous President of the Heart Failure Society of America(HFSA) and was the Chair of the HFSA Heart Failure Guidelines in 2006 and 2010 and also a member of the ACC/AHA/HFSA Heart Failure Guidelines. Dr. Lindenfeld has extensive experience in the conduct of clinical trials in heart failure and has served on the steering Committees of may national and international heart failure trials. She has been a member of the Food and Drug Administration Cardiorenal panels and the Cardiac Devices panel. Her research interests include cardiorenal syndrome and the use of SGLT2 inhibitors in heart failure, vascular remodeling with left ventricular assist devices, and clinical outcomes in cardiac transplantation.
