Professor Nireen Okasha

My name is Nireen Okasha, Head of cardiology department , Ain Shams university Egypt. I started my career as interventional Cardiologist 35 years ago paving the way as the first female interventionalist in Egypt and middle east as well. I got 3 years of interventional training at Dusseldorf university hospital , Germany. I have@ a special interest in ACS and shared in introducing the primary PCI concept to our community as one of the pioneers of SSL . During these years I contributed to establishing many Catheterization laboratories across Egypt from Luxor to Sharm EL Sheikh to cairo . During my career i lead many reserch as regard the ACS in egypt , as well as the managment of familial HLP in Children with sever atherosclerotic CAD. while working as a resident then as a fellow till beeing the Head of Cardiology the road was not easy but surely it deserved every sacrifies.
