Biography
MARINE H. GAMBARYAN, MD, MPH, PhD, Leading Research Scientist at the National Medical Research Centre for Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation, member of the Expert council for Tobacco control at the Health Committee of Russian State Duma.
She has her master's degree in Public Health from the Netherlands School of Public Health, a certificate in Global Tobacco Control from Bloomberg School of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University in USA, diploma of World Bank International Program for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET), and a PhD, aimed at the problem of Respiratory diseases early prevention via smoking cessation and prevention. Over 30 years of work in the field of cardiorespiratory diseases prevention and Tobacco Control. Author of over 70 publications: scientific articles, guidelines and recommendations. Expert for WHO/Europe. Principal investigator of Russian Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Survey - EPOCHA-RF. Member of ESC/EAPC.
