Biography
Stefan Harb is head of the CTO-PCI program at the University Heart Center Graz. After training 1997 in Bochum, Germany, he initiated a PCI-program at LKH Graz West, Austria. Supported by mentors like Ferdinand Kiemeneij, Georg Gaul, and Masahisa Yamane he pioneered radial access in Austria 2005, rotablation in Styria 2007, retrograde CTO-PCI in Graz 2012
and started transradial CTO conferences with Kambis Mashayekhi 2016.
2017 he initiated a distal radial program, adopted intracoronary lithotripsy 2018, set up the first German speaking conference with Rota-Shock live cases 2019 at LKH Graz-West and is supporting CTO PCI in LKH Hochsteiermark.
His interventional network includes transradial pioneers in the UK, miniaturization pioneers in Japan (Slender Club), distal radial pioneers and many CTO experts globally.
He is co-founder of European Vascular Access Club and Austrian CHIP&CTO International, and serves as Chair of the EAPCI Committee of International Affairs and Partnership.
