Since 2002, cardiologist at the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos. Since 2018, Professor at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Head of the Department of Ischaemic Heart Disease. Fellowships: member of Lithuanian Society of Cardiology, Head of the Working Group on Ischaemic Heart Disease, Fellow of European Society of Cardiology, Member of Working Group on Coronary Pathophysiology & Microcirculation, Member of Nominating Committee on the European Society Cardiology Board (2012–2014), member of Acute Cardiovascular Care Association. Field of interest in scientific research includes ischaemic heart disease: pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, dyslipidaemia, acute coronary syndromes. Author and co-author of articles, textbooks and methodological recommendations. Local and national expertise of ESC Guidelines. An investigator in clinical studies and projects.
