Doctor Jolanta Laukaitiene

Professor Jolanta Laukaitienė for many years as a heart failure cardiologist, actively working in the research and clinical practice at the Department of Cardiology, Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences in Kaunas, Lithuania. She is a member of the Heart Failure Working Group of the Lithuanian Society of Cardiology, a member of the European Society of Cardiology, a member of the European Long-Term Monitoring Scientific Program for patients with heart failure. She has an outstanding experience as a consulting cardiologist both in out-patients and in-patients settings. Dr. Jolanta Laukaitiene substantially contributed to the development of multidisciplinary Heart Failure Service in Lithuania, its implementation and training of heart failure cardiologists and nurses. Her research areas of interest – heart failure, left ventricular remodeling in patients with ischaemic, valvular and hypertensive heart disease, non-invasive haemodynamic assessment, and clinical biochemistry
