Doctor Magdalena Zebrowska

Magdalena Żebrowska is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Epidemiology, Center for Public Health, Medical University of Vienna. She holds an MSc and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Wrocław, Poland. Her research focuses on individual susceptibility to circadian disruption and its cardiovascular, kidney, metabolic and mental-health effects. Using large prospective cohorts and biobanks, including the Nurses’ Health Studies, Health Professionals Follow-Up Study and UK Biobank, she investigates sleep, chronotype, night-shift work, light exposure and melatonin-related traits. Her expertise includes genome- and phenome-wide association studies, multi-ancestry meta-analysis, Mendelian randomisation, longitudinal modelling and causal inference. She works in international, interdisciplinary teams, contributing to study design, reproducible analysis and interpretation of complex epidemiological and genomic findings. She speaks Polish, English and German.
