Biography
Dr. Jerzy Sacha, MD, PhD, is an interventional cardiologist and head of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the University Hospital in Opole, Poland. He also serves as a professor at the Opole University of Technology. Dr. Sacha specializes in advanced, minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, including complex coronary interventions, structural heart therapies, and mechanical circulatory support. He has particular expertise in the use of left ventricular assist devices, such as the Impella pump, in high-risk PCI and cardiogenic shock. He has developed and published several techniques for percutaneous subclavian access, both for mechanical circulatory support and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). He is the author and co-author of numerous articles published in leading scientific journals.
