Biography
Vincent ten Cate, PhD is a Junior Professor of Computational Systems Medicine at the Center for Thrombosis and the Department of Cardiology at the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Mainz, Germany. In his research, he combines his background in epidemiology with high-dimensional multimodal data (e.g., multiomics data incl. proteomics, (epi)genomics, metabolomics; imaging data) to gain new insights into the pathomechanisms of cardiovascular disease and the aging process. He is a principal investigator in the BMFTR-funded DIASyM consortium (mass spectrometry in heart failure) and curATime cluster 4 future (on cardiovascular disease), as well as the DECOMPOSE project on inflammaging.
