Biography
I am a German-American board-certified internist with a medical degree from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. During a research fellowship in decision sciences, I met my wife in Boston, Massachusetts. I then pursued a master’s in public health at Harvard and an internal medicine residency at New York University School of Medicine. I then worked as a hospitalist at Massachusetts General Hospital, as an instructor at Harvard Medical School, as a senior consultant to industry clients for health economics and outcomes research, as a coeditor/editorial board member for several journals, and - briefly - as a podcast host for an internal medicine journal club. I love clinically relevant outcomes research and have spent time in research groups in Adelaide, Australia, and Munich, Germany. Since 2022, I have relocated to Oslo, Norway, where I am currently a doctoral research fellow in health economics and where I am raising a young child.
