Doctor Romullo Ataides

A research physician working at the intersection of patient care, public health, and digital health. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins, where I contribute to clinical research and evidence translation in academic medicine. My work focuses on clinical research operations, implementation science, digital health, and health equity. Before moving into U.S.-based research, I worked in Brazil across primary care, emergency medicine, telemedicine, and occupational health. That frontline experience caring for underserved populations continues to shape how I think about healthcare delivery, chronic disease prevention, and real-world impact. My long-term interests include building and evaluating practical tools that improve access, quality, and outcomes in clinical care, especially for vulnerable communities.
