Biography
Professor Allan Lawrie is Professor of Pulmonary Vascular Diseases at the National Heart and Lung Institue, Imperial College London. His research focuses on translational discoveries in cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular disease, with a particular emphasis on mechansitic biology, biomakers, digital health, remote monitoring, and data-driven approaches to disease prevention and management. He leads interdisciplinary programmes that integrate biological insights with smartphones, wearables, electronic health records, and AI to improve early detection, risk prediction, and personalised care. Through international collaborations spanning academia, healthcare, and industry, he works to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies that improve cardiovascular and respiratory health outcomes.
