Biography
I am a computational biologist and PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at IIBB-CSIC and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. My research combines cardiac electrophysiology, calcium handling, computer vision and artificial intelligence to develop scalable tools for arrhythmia research. I am building deep-learning pipelines based on synthetic and experimental data to detect subcellular calcium release events and calcium-regulatory protein distributions. I am also developing a translational strategy to link genetic variants with atrial remodelling on cardiac MRI and arrhythmic risk on ECG in UK Biobank. I have experience in Python, PyTorch, machine learning, biomedical signal analysis, genomics, cloud workflows and large-scale biological datasets. I am especially interested in multidisciplinary projects that combine cardiovascular mechanisms with multimodal and explainable AI.
