Biography
Nicola Francesco Lopomo is Associate Professor of Bioengineering at the Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano, where he has worked since 2024. He graduated in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2003 and earned a PhD in Bioengineering in 2008. Starting in 2004, he developed research in orthopedic biomechanics and computer-assisted surgery at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli. Starting in 2015, he served as associated professor at University of Brescia in the Electronic and Information Engineering Department. He is author of 190+ peer-reviewed papers (H-index 34), Associate Editor for international journals, WP leader and unit coordinator in several EU and INAIL projects, and co-founder/scientific advisor of inXense since 2022. His expertise includes clinical and musculoskeletal biomechanics, motor rehabilitation, ergonomics, wearable and printed electronics.
