Biography
Jayant Raikhelkar, MD, is a cardiologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Director of the Cardio-Oncology Program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He specializes in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and cardio-oncology, with a particular focus on the intersection of cancer and advanced heart disease, including outcomes in patients undergoing heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Raikhelkar completed fellowship training in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and additional training in cardio-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is a founder of the annual NewYork-Presbyterian Cardio-Oncology Summit and is actively involved in national and international collaborative research efforts in cardio-oncology.
