Doctor Asad Sheikh

Asad Sheikh, DO, MS, is an internal medicine resident physician at Northern Westchester Hospital – Northwell Health, where he has trained since June 2024. He holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Medical/Healthcare Simulation from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. His research interests center on cardiology, pulmonary vascular disease, and PERT (Pulmonary Embolism Response Team) management, with additional work in echocardiography, point-of-care ultrasound, and venous thromboembolism outcomes. Prior to residency, he ran a healthcare business. An Eagle Scout, Dr. Sheikh is deeply committed to community service, particularly expanding access to medical care, supplies, medicines, and physicians for underserved communities in Pakistan. Outside of medicine, he is an avid traveler with a passion for the history of empires, and enjoys golf and fitness.
