Pr. Pascal AMEDRO, MD, PhD, is a Pediatric and Congenital Cardiologist at Bordeaux University Hospital, France; and a researcher at the Liryc, the Electrophysiology and Heart Modeling Institute, INSERM 1045, at the University of Bordeaux (https://www.ihu-liryc.fr/en/).
His main research activities have focused on evaluating and improving health-related quality of life in children and adults with congenital heart disease, with a special interest in physical activity, aerobic fitness, and drug trials in rare cardiac diseases. He has validated the pediatric Z-score VO2max reference values from an international cohort of more than 1100 pediatric CPET. One of his main projects is the QUALI-REHAB program using RCT design to test various centre and/or home-based cardiac rehabilitation interventions dedicated to children and young adults with chronic diseases (congenital heart diseases, inherited cardiac disorders, childhood cancer, patients with neurodevelopmental disorders, etc.).
