Doctor Lissette Haydee Garcia-Mena

Lissette Garcia Mena, MD is a Research Fellow at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología in Mexico and an Instructor in Biomedical Informatics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a position she has held since 2024. Her research focuses on cardiovascular prevention, clinical research, and evidence synthesis, with interests spanning cardiovascular risk, clinical outcomes, and the integration of evidence into clinical practice. She has experience conducting clinical research and systematic reviews and meta-analyses and is particularly interested in research that bridges rigorous evidence generation with clinically relevant cardiovascular care. She is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and currently learning German. Outside academia, she enjoys swimming and running.
