Biography
Rakeem Levy is a PGY-1 Internal Medicine resident with a strong academic interest in cardiovascular and critical care outcomes research. His work has focused on in-hospital mortality and early clinical deterioration in critically ill patients using large national inpatient datasets, with an emphasis on translating these findings into real-time clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes. He is actively engaged in research involving high-acuity conditions, including cardiogenic shock and mechanical circulatory support, and is particularly interested in the intersection of critical care and cardiovascular medicine. In addition to his academic work, he has been involved in community service initiatives, including providing meals to individuals experiencing homelessness and supporting underserved communities abroad. These experiences continue to shape his commitment to patient-centered care and service.
