Professor Xi-Yong Yu

Chair Professor of pharmacology, Outstanding scholar of Nanshan, Master's supervisor (since 1997), Doctoral supervisor (since 2002), and Postdoctoral supervisor (since 2005). He has studied abroad at the University of Hong Kong School of Medicine (1999.9-2001.1) and the Baylor School of Medicine (2002.12-2003.8) in the United States for postdoctoral research. From July 1989 to April 2015, Professor Yu worked for a long time at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and Guangdong Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, and served as the Assistant President of Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences & the Director of the Medical Research Center of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. In May 2015, Professor Yu was transferred to Guangzhou Medical University as the Dean of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Director of the Guangzhou Institute of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology, the Director of the Key Laboratory of National Medica Products Administration(NMPA).
