Biography
Dr. Di Yang is an Associate Research Fellow and PhD supervisor specializing in cardiovascular metabolic pharmacology, with a focus on the basic and translational research of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Her research explores novel mechanisms and therapeutic targets underlying cardiovascular and metabolic diseases such as aortic aneurysm/dissection, hypertension, cardiac hypertrophy/heart failure, and obesity. She is particularly interested in the “cardiovascular–adipose axis,” investigating the molecular crosstalk between cardiovascular tissues and adipose organs as well as the interplay between cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. Her work also involves drug discovery and translational evaluation targeting promising pathways for cardiovascular therapeutics. Dr. Yang has published 36 SCI papers, including 20 as first or corresponding author in leading journals such as Cardiovascular Research, Aging Cell, ATVB, and Cell Death & Disease.
