Biography
Noemi Giordano (NG) is a Biomedical Engineer holding a PhD in Bioengineering and Medical-surgical Sciences. She is currently a MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow at Aalborg University, Department of Health Science and Technology, working on the noninvasive prediction of acute events in patients with chronic heart failure within the EU-funded SoundTrack-HF project. During her previous research experience (3-year PhD followed by a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at Politecnico di Torino) NG focused on the design of a wearable multi-modal device recording multi-source heart sounds. The project led to a patent and was awarded two PoC funding grants. NG has fruitful ongoing collaborations with research groups in Italy, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland. Her main research interests include the design and validation of novel medical devices for cardiovascular monitoring, cardiological signal processing, biomedical data analysis for data mining and knowledge extraction and telemedicine.
