Biography
Elsa is a medical graduate of Addis Ababa University (MD, 2024) with a strong interest in Internal Medicine and a long-term goal of pursuing a career in cardiology. Her primary clinical interests include electrophysiology and interventional cardiology, with additional focus on valvular heart disease. She holds a leadership role with Healing Valves Ethiopia, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and management of rheumatic heart disease, where she contributes to clinical, educational, and advocacy initiatives aimed at improving cardiovascular care in resource-limited settings. She has been involved in clinical cardiology research since 2025 and has authored two peer-reviewed publication and one scientific abstract. Her academic interests include outcomes-focused cardiovascular research and case-based scholarship addressing disparities in care among underserved populations.
