Doctor Konstantina Boumaki

Konstantina Boumaki is a medical doctor, person living with type 1 diabetes and patient advocate from Greece. She is a member of the ESC Patient Forum and the ESC Cardiovascular Round Table Nucleus Committee. She serves on the Board of the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) and represents EPF in the HMA/EMA Network Data Steering Group. She also works independently in patient engagement, advocacy and health policy, including with International Diabetes Federation Europe. Her main areas of interest include diabetes and cardiovascular prevention, meaningful patient involvement in health policy and medicines regulation, equitable access to care, medicines and medical technologies, and digital health and artificial intelligence. She is passionate about bringing together lived experience, medicine and policy to help shape more patient-centered and equitable healthcare. Originally from Crete, she enjoys travelling, the sea and discovering new cultures.
