Kyriacos Hatzaras is a senior member of Unit A6, AI in Health & Life Sciences with a focus on digital health and advanced technology policy and programmes, at the European AI Office of Directorate-General CNECT (Communication Networks, Content and Technology) of the European Commission. He has held management positions in industry and fellowships at the Imperial College Business School and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. He has previously been a member of the EU-US Health IT Collaborative EHR Working Group, Health IT Lead at King’s College London, NIHR-funded researcher at the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre, and a senior expert for the WHO (Geneva, Switzerland). He holds degrees in Electrical Engineering with Management from Imperial College London and European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
