Biography
Jason Gencher is an Electrophysiology Fellow at the Montreal Heart Institute. He completed medical school at the University of Toronto, followed by Internal Medicine at Western University and Cardiology at the University of British Columbia. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health Professions Education through Maastricht University (MHPE-Canada/Western University), with the goal of developing expertise in leadership and curriculum development. Prior to medical school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance (trumpet) from McGill University. Jason has served terms as the trainee representative for the Canadian Cardiovascular Society's Advocacy and Climate Action committees. He is the Member-in-Training representative for the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society. He is passionate about medical education, having developed and led teaching sessions at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, to allied health professionals, and colleagues.
