Biography
Sylvia began her academic journey in 2020 as a Bachelor's student in Biomedical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, where she started the Master's programme in Medical Engineering in 2023. She specializes in cardiovascular biomechanics, combining computational and experimental analysis of the cardiovascular system. In 2025, she began her master's graduation project in collaboration with Maastricht University and Maastricht University Medical Center+ in the Netherlands, focusing on cardiac electrophysiology and device therapy. She developed a semi-automatic ECG analysis method to enhance ECG interpretation for left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP). Her research interests include signal processing, computational physiology, and clinical translation of biomedical technologies. Outside her academic work, Sylvia enjoys fitness and crafting her own clothing. She is fluent in Dutch, English, and Slovak, and has a strong comprehension of German and Czech.
