Biography
Yusuf Abderrahman is a biomedical engineer and graduate of the Master of Engineering program at the University of Toronto, specializing in cardiac electrophysiology. His work focuses on improving electrogram interpretation and spatial resolution in electroanatomic mapping, with particular interest in distinguishing near-field from far-field activity in complex arrhythmias. He contributes to research at the University Health Network, where he studies novel catheter technologies and advanced signal analysis methods for arrhythmia mapping. Yusuf also has experience in medical device development and test method validation within industry. His research interests include cardiac mapping, bioinstrumentation, and translational approaches to improving clinical outcomes in arrhythmia management. Outside of research, he enjoys fitness and entrepreneurship, including developing educational tools focused on financial literacy.
