Biography
Tuba is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. She graduated in Medicine from University of Bristol and will commence Internal Medicine Training in August with the aim of pursuing a career in cardiology. She has a strong interest in medical education and is actively involved in undergraduate teaching and simulation-based learning. Her academic interests include acute cardiovascular care, cardiovascular diagnostics and cardiac imaging. She completed a Master of Research in Health Sciences investigating long QT syndrome type 1 and defective ion channel trafficking as potential therapeutic targets. Her current work includes a quality improvement project evaluating the appropriateness of troponin testing in the acute setting and a study evaluating the diagnostic performance of stress echocardiography. She is fluent in Turkish and enjoys travelling.
