Biography
Kunal Shah, DO is a cardiology fellow with a focused interest in cardiac electrophysiology, device-based therapies, and outcomes research. He has a formal background in biomedical engineering, which shapes his clinical and academic work at the interface of electrophysiology, device technology, and procedural outcomes. His academic interests include transvenous lead extraction, device infection and malfunction, conduction system pacing, left atrial appendage occlusion, and electrophysiologic considerations following transcatheter valve interventions. He contributes regularly to scientific meetings and peer-reviewed research. He plans to pursue advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology with a long-term goal of integrating clinical practice, research, and innovation. Outside of medicine, he enjoys basketball, finance, travel, fitness, and exploring new cultures. He speaks English, Gujarati, and Spanish.
