Biography
Charlotte Forner has been studying Medicine at the University of Lübeck since October 2021. In January 2025, she began working on her doctoral thesis at the Department of Electrophysiology and Hematology/Oncology at the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) in Lübeck. Her research focuses on clonal cytopenias and their impact on cardiac arrhythmias. Through this project, she has gained valuable experience in scientific research, patient interaction, organization, and structured work. Her doctoral project has also strengthened her interest in both research and cardiology. Teamwork plays a central role for her – shaped by many years of playing handball, where she learned collaboration and reliability from an early age. These skills also benefit her work in the research team. In addition to her native German, she speaks English and Spanish fluently.
