Biography
Marcos Gallego Llorente, PhD, is an academic working at the intersection of clinical practice, health-system transformation and implementation science. He supports hospitals, societies and European consortia on strategy, policy, pathway optimisation and clinical implementation. He leads work packages 2 & 3 on EuroHeartPath, a Horizon Europe initiative addressing unwarranted variation in cardiovascular care across 15 countries and four areas: coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac amyloidosis and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. He also teaches health technology, clinical data and the future of healthcare. Trained at Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge, with first-author publications in Science and Scientific Reports, Marcos focuses on clinical design: making innovation implementable, measurable and scalable in real-world care.
