Doctor Sasha Khomenko

Barcelona Institute for Global Health - ISGlobal, Barcelona (Spain)

I am an urban health specialist working at the intersection of environment, climate, and health, with a focus on urban planning, transport planning policy, public health policy, and urban interventions such as sustainable mobility, low emission zones, urban greening, and nature-based solutions. My work supports the development of healthy, sustainable, and climate-resilient cities through the integration of built environment and urban sustainability considerations into policy and practice. I have collaborated on interdisciplinary research projects across Europe, addressing key aspects of the urban environment, climate adaptation, and environmental health to promote equity, resilience, and well-being in cities.
