Biography
Dr. Joseph Adu-Amankwaah is a clinical laboratory scientist and cardiovascular researcher in the Department of Physiology at Xuzhou Medical University, China. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Basic Medicine (Pathology and Pathophysiology), with a research focus on sex hormone–mediated mechanisms underlying stress-induced cardiac dysfunction and metabolic dysregulation.
His expertise spans cardiovascular physiology, sepsis models, hormonal signaling, cardiac hemodynamics, and translational research. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including in Metabolism, Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences, Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, and MedComm.
Dr. Adu-Amankwaah is an active peer reviewer for top journals such as Circulation, JACC, JAHA, and ATVB, and was named a 2023 Top Peer Reviewer by the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.
