Suhny Abbara, MD, FSCCT, FACR, (@SuhnyAbbara) is Chief, Cardiothoracic Imaging Division at University of Texas Southwestern and Director, Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship. He completed Medical School at the University of Dusseldorf, Residency at Georgetown University, Washington, DC and Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, where he has been the clinical Director of the Cardiovascular Imaging Section and Cardiac Imaging Fellowship Director from 2003 to 2011. He has published more than 270 PubMed indexed peer reviewed manuscripts (H-index=55), edited six major textbooks on Cardiovascular and Thoracic Imaging, and dozens of chapters. He is Editor in Chief of Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging (a RSNA publication), and has served on editorial boards of several scientific journals. He is the 2018-19 President of the Society of Cardiovascular CT (SCCT) and Past-President of the Certification Board for Cardiovascular CT.
