Ms Ingrid Elisabeth Tveten

SINTEF, Trondheim (Norway)

Member of:

European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging

Ingrid Tveten graduated with an M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2021. During her masters degree she specialized in medical imaging. Her research career started in SINTEF, one of Europe's largest research institutes, following graduation. Here, she works with various medical imaging modalities and clinical specialities. Ingrid's main research interests regard the intersection of medical imaging and artificial intelligence. She started her PhD in 2023 and is working on deep learning for improved analysis of cardiac function from echocardiography. The project aims to develop novel unimodal and multimodal approaches that may improve diagnostics and prognostics, as well as contribute to our understanding of cardiac disease. Outside working hours, Ingrid enjoys the outdoors in any way possible – running, biking, skiing, or freediving!
