Dr. Reyes-Soffer is an NIH-AHA funded clinical translational investigator and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Department of Medicine, Division of Preventive Medicine and Nutrition. She completed her post-doctoral training at the same institution. She is a recognized expert in clinical translational research, specifically in identifying the pathways that regulate plasma lipid and lipoprotein levels. Her laboratory employs advanced techniques, including use of stable isotope and mass spectrometry. Her research has been published in prestigious journals such as Circulation, Journal of Lipid Research, and Science Translational Medicine. Dr. Reyes-Soffer participated in the NHLBI-workgroup on Lipoprotein(a), with recommendations published in JACC and the first author and co-Chair of the AHA Scientific Statement on Lp(a). She is the co-founder of ASPIRE! peer mentoring program at CUIMC.
