Biography
Vagner Madrini Junior is a Brazilian cardiologist and clinical trialist. He is a Staff Cardiologist in the Cardiomyopathies and Aortic Diseases Unit at the Heart Institute (InCor), University of São Paulo Medical School, and a Clinical Trialist at the Academic Research Organization of Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. He is also a Guest Professor at the University of São Paulo and Deputy Editor of Global Heart. His main areas of expertise are cardiomyopathies, heart failure, Chagas cardiomyopathy, cardiac amyloidosis and clinical trials. He has served as national lead investigator in multicentre cardiovascular trials and has presented research at major international congresses. He is a member of the World Heart Federation Emerging Leaders Programme. Outside medicine, he is an avid cinephile, enjoys playing classical guitar and is a keen tennis enthusiast. He speaks Portuguese, English and Italian.
