Biography
Dr. Nadia Khan is Professor and Head of General Internal Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada. She is a general internist and hypertension specialist at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver Canada. Dr. Khan is a clinician-scientist in health services research at the Center for Advancing Health and published >200 peer review papers. Her research area includes examining detection, management and cardiovascular outcomes of cardiovascular disease risk factors including hypertension among marginalized populations. She is co-Director of the St. Paul’s Hospital hypertension clinic, co-founder of the Canadian Hypertension Specialist Society, and is an American Hypertension Society Clinical Specialist in Hypertension. Dr. Khan is past President of Hypertension Canada (2016-2020) and past Executive Council member of the International Society of Hypertension (2020-2024).
