Dr. Lauren Lai King is a Fellow of the College of Emergency Medicine of South Africa and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town. Lauren serves as the CEO of the African Federation for Emergency Medicine (AFEM) and has the pleasure of sitting on the Board of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, where she seeks to amplify the perspectives of African emergency care practitioners and align regional priorities with global efforts to strengthen emergency care systems.
