Heleen B. van der Zwaan currently works as a cardiologist at the University Medical Center in Utrecht where she accomplished her sub specialization in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD). She completed her thesis on right ventricular function assessment by three-dimensional echocardiography in comparison with cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in ACHD patients at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam. Within the field of ACHD she is interested in cardiac imaging and treatment of (advanced) heart failure.
