Doctor Salman Ul Hassan Dar

Dr. Salman Ul Hassan Dar is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University Hospital Heidelberg. He completed his PhD at Bilkent University in Turkey. His research focuses on enhancing data efficiency in medical imaging, with a particular emphasis on generative AI. A key question guiding his work is how generative modeling can enable AI to overcome limited and imbalanced datasets. To address this, he develops generative AI approaches with rigorously designed evaluation frameworks to assess model quality, diversity, and privacy. Outside of research, he enjoys reading, playing, and watching football.
