Doctor Abigail Falola

Dr. Falola is an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Resident in the East of England, United Kingdom, with a particular interest in medical disorders in pregnancy and the optimisation of care and birth experiences for women with high-risk pregnancies. Her academic focus is on peripartum cardiomyopathy, particularly secondary data analysis, which forms the basis of her PhD research commenced in 2023. She graduated from St George's, University of London in 2016 and has since worked across multiple specialties throughout the UK. She commenced her Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency in 2020 and continues to combine her roles as a clinician and early career researcher, aimed at improving outcomes and quality of care in obstetric medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Falola enjoys hiking and travelling across Africa, activities that reflect her enthusiasm for exploration, resilience, and perspective.
