Professor Peter Spector

Dr. Spector is a practicing cardiac electrophysiologist, focused on mapping and ablation with a particular emphasis on atrial fibrillation. He has split his time over the last 2.5 decades between clinical care, teaching and research. He is the Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center and is a professor in the department of Medicine and in the department of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering. He has published dozens of papers in the medical literature and is the sole author of two books about cardiac electrophysiology and atrial fibrillation. He is the inventor, founder and president of VisibleEP, a company focused on computational modeling of cardiac electrophysiology. He is also the inventor, co-founder and chief science officer of CoreMap a complete 3D electro-anatomic mapping system for identifying sources of atrial fibrillation to help physician's cure AF.
