Biography
Jose Alejandro Gasca Insuasti is a physician and Internal Medicine resident at Universidad Santiago de Cali with a strong academic and research-oriented background focused on cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurosciences, and clinical epidemiology. He serves as Co-Founder and Academic Coordinator of Research 101 Latin America, an educational initiative dedicated to strengthening research training, evidence-based medicine, and scientific collaboration among medical students and physicians across Latin America. His research interests include systematic reviews, meta-analyses, cardiovascular outcomes research, structural heart disease, cardiometabolic disorders, and translational clinical investigation. He has participated in multiple international scientific projects and has presented research at major international meetings, including the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting.
