Biography
Dr. Iván R. Figueroa Báez, MD, MHSA, is an Internal Medicine resident at San Juan City Hospital, where he has trained since July 2024, with a focused career path in cardiology and preventive cardiovascular medicine. He is an American College of Cardiology Internal Medicine Program participant and serves as an ACC Social Media Ambassador, contributing to global cardiovascular education and professional digital outreach.
His academic work centers on heart failure, preventive cardiology, multimodality cardiovascular imaging, and cardio-metabolic disease, with active involvement in clinical research, case reports, and scholarly publications. He is the founder of the Pillows Foundation, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting patients with heart failure through education and access to care.
Dr. Figueroa Báez is fluent in Spanish and English. Outside of medicine, he enjoys motorcycle riding and creating educational medical media content.
