I am working as a Cardiology Specialist since 2010 in Germany at Heart Centre Leipzig in the department of Echocardiography. Being trained in advanced echocardiographic modalities (transthoracic and transoesophageal) since more than ten years. I absolved the Transthoracic Echocardiographic ESC certification process in year 2015. I believe strongly in multi-modality imaging and because of that I did my trainee in cardiovascular magnetic resonance in year 2015. I did my practical on-site training in the CMR laboratory of the Department of Electrophysiology. My mentors, PD. Dr. Cosima Jahnke and PD. Dr. Ingo Paetsch, are well-known experts in the field of CMR imaging. In our CMR lab more than 1500 CMR studies are performed per year with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular pathologies coming from the departments of electrophysiology, adult and pediatric cardiology, and cardiac surgery.
