Biography
Dr. Xuanqi An is an associate chief physician in cardiovascular medicine at Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases, China. He serves as Vice Director of the Emergency Department and as a Youth Principal Investigator at the National Clinical Research Center for Cardiovascular Diseases. His clinical expertise focuses on cardiovascular emergencies and critical care, including cardiogenic shock, acute coronary syndromes, acute heart failure, and malignant arrhythmias. His research interests include cardiogenic shock, microcirculatory dysfunction, artificial intelligence–assisted risk stratification, multimodal monitoring, wearable cardiovascular technologies, and emergency care systems. Having achieved a Master of Public Health degree, he also has a strong interest in cardiovascular public health and global disease burden research, including a publication in The Lancet Global Health.
