Doctor Erika Fernanda Merchan Pinto

Medical doctor specialized in Pediatrics, with advanced training in Pediatric Cardiology and Neonatology. Since 2024, she has worked as a Pediatric Cardiologist and Clinical Researcher at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona, integrated into the Unit of Arrhythmias, Inherited Cardiac Conditions, and Sudden Death. Her work focuses on pediatric arrhythmias, cardiovascular genetics, sudden death prevention, and the diagnosis of inherited cardiomyopathies. She holds a Master’s degree in Pediatric Cardiology and postgraduate specializations in Pediatrics and Neonatology. She participates in clinical research and collaborative projects advancing pediatric electrophysiology. She is fluent in Spanish and English and finds in photography a form of personal expression that enriches her professional development.
